Basketball Playoffs
Congratulations to our defending class 9A state champion basketball team for their 64-59 win in the region 2 quarterfinal game last night! Our Pioneers (18-5) will next travel to play Tampa Alonso (24-4) in a regional semifinal - Orlando Sentinel story (Feb. 22).

Also advancing in the basketball playoffs tonight are our Lady Pioneers (17-14) as they play away vs. Haines City (26-2).

Annual Parent Survey
We are still striving to get a 20% response rate from parents on our 2019 parent survey. If you completed this year's survey, thank you very much. If you have a student at ORHS and have yet to do so, please take a few moments to complete the survey today keeping in mind that all responses are kept anonymous. Thank you for your help.
Have a great weekend!

With Pioneer Pride,

Ms. Jennifer Bellinger
Principal

Wrestling
Please congratulate Amber Powell from our Pioneer wrestling team. Amber placed 3rd in her weight class in the 2018-2019 FHSAA Women's Wrestling State Championships. Amber is a 10th grader and is a first year wrestler. We are very proud of our state championship competitor. Thank you Coach Andrews and staff! A very special shout out to Mrs. Michelle Browne and Ms. Bellinger who transported Amber to the state championship competition and helped coach her to victory.

Amber Powell finished in 3rd place at the State Wrestling Championships this month. She is in the 10th grade and this was only her first year as a wrestler!

Metro Wrestling Competition
In addition, Jean Voltaire Faustin placed 2nd in Metro and Matthew Augustave placed 4th at Metro. This is the highest placement in Metros in many many years for our wrestling program! We are fortunate to have a school principal and administration that supports our athletic program!

Best Buddies

Best Buddies has a record number of members this year (+120!). Over 45 members met after school to sign Valentine's cards, create crafts, and pack goodie bags for ALL of our ESE students. Those Valentine's goodie bags were delivered successfully and the ESE students were all very excited about their gifts!
