Come visit the Museum of African American History in Beacon Hill on Saturday, February 22 at 10:00 a.m. and learn about Black history. Admission is free, and lunch will be provided by the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Students for Racial Justice in Healthcare (SRJH). The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Students for Racial Justice in Healthcare (SRJH) will present a free screening of The Photograph on Sunday, March 1 at the AMC Boston Common. There will limited tickets available so please be sure to RSVP with your interest. Movie time will be disclosed sooner to the viewing but will be around Noon. RSVP and request accommodations.


(4) Viewing of Talking Black in America – Monday, March 23 (Institute Wide)

Join the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association and Students for Racial Justice in Healthcare for a screening of the documentary Talking Black in America on Monday, March 23 4:30—7:00 p.m. in Shouse 315 and with the possibility of a second screening. This documentary “chronicles the incredible impact of African American English on American language and culture. Filmed across the United States, this documentary is a revelation of language as legacy, identity and triumph over adversity.” Breakout sessions to follow. This event is presented in partnership with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Communication Sciences and Disorders Department. See more about the film.

(6) Fulbright U.S. Scholars Competition Open – Deadline September 15 (Faculty)

On Ash Wednesday, February 26, the MGH Spiritual Care department will offer ashes on all patient units in the MGH Campus throughout the day. Imposition of ashes will also be available outside the MGH Chapel on Ellison 1 from 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. and during Catholic Mass in the MGH Chapel at 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. View flyer for more information. • Attend "The Abolitionist Origins of the Women's Suffrage Movement" event on Tuesday, February 25, 7:00–9:00 p.m. at the Newton Free Library’s Drunker Auditorium, 330 Homer Street, Newton.
• Learn about the discrimination faced by "Workers at the Charlestown Navy Yard" on Wednesday, February 26, 3:30–4:30 p.m. at the Mattapan branch of the Boston Public Library, 130 Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan.
