Survivor Appreciation Day at Dollywood
with an Honor and Remembrance Ceremony

Dear Families,

Your Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) and Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) teams, in conjunction with Humana and Dollywood Theme Park , would like to invite you and your family to Survivor Appreciation Day at Dollywood on Saturday, September 28, 2019. In addition to a wonderful day at the park, we will all gather together to pay tribute and celebrate the lives of our Fallen Heroes in a special Honor and Remembrance Ceremony. This will be a memorable day spent with other surviving military families experiencing a full day of entertainment including over 40 rides, 15 exceptional shows, and the friendliest employees around.

Here are further details covering our time together. Please note that you may receive an invitation from both SOS and TAPS. You will only need to register once under one organization. We look forward to having you join us!
What:  Survivor Appreciation Day at Dollywood

Date:  Saturday, September 28, 2019

Park Hours:  10:00 AM until 9:00 PM

Where:  Dollywood Theme Park

Honor and Remembrance Ceremony:   5:00 PM at Showstreet Theater, doors open at 4:30 PM
Each family hero will be recognized during the Honor and Remembrance Ceremony. To have your loved one included during the reading of the names, please go to www.hfecorp.com/DW .
You will be asked to input their full name, rank, hometown and provide a uniform picture. 

Ticket Details & Regulations: There are a limited number of tickets being donated by our sponsors to our Survivor Families. We can only reserve six (6) tickets in the name of each hero. These tickets will be on a first come, first serve basis. We will have a wait list set up in case we have any cancellations; this too will be on a first come, first serve basis. 

We realize that many military families are legacy families; due to government regulation, no Active Member of the Military, including National Guard & Reserve, may accept any of the donated tickets .  With that being said, if you are a military legacy family member who is active duty status, we do not want you or your loved one’s sacrifice to be overlooked. Please contact TAPS at communityrelations@taps.org . 

If additional tickets are needed for your family, Dollywood has graciously offered to provide tickets at 50% off regular price admission and they can be purchased at the Front Gate on September 28.

Parking: Dollywood has a $15 parking fee.

Lodging: If needed, please make your hotel reservations as soon as possible as the hotels are filling up quickly and many will sell out. There will be a large convention in town the weekend of the event.
