Message from the President!

I hope you are all having a wonderful summer! For New Mexico's PTA leaders I'm sure you are looking forward with anticipation and maybe even some nervousness to the upcoming school year and your new PTA responsibilities.
Summer is an exciting time for leadership as we all reflect on how we can make "that" difference in our school community. Your New Mexico PTA Board of Directors wants you to know you are not alone! In the coming weeks you will be receiving a lot of information from us. Our goal is that what we send via email, e-newsletter, or mail will assist in making the transition to the new school year easier.
If you need support please reach out to us! Send an email ( [email protected]), give us a phone call (505-881-0712), and yes we'll even respond to your fax (505-884-0793).
I hope that the remainder of your summer is full of sun and lots of fun. I speak for us all at New Mexico PTA when I say we can't wait to see what the next year brings!

What Is Social Anxiety?

When fear of how you appear gets in the way of functioning.

When you're a teen you start being more aware of what other people think. There seems to be a "right" thing to wear, or say, or do. There also seem to be things that you shouldn't do-things that could be embarrassing, or lose you points with friends. This can lead to social anxiety.
