Spring Teen Class
Registration Open!

Sundays, February 23, March 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29
1:30 - 4:00 pm

Explore feminist history, mythology, art, relationship dynamics, writing, and politics, while pinpointing your place in the ongoing movement. Come write yourself into the lineage of artists, writers, and activists who have brought equality for all genders.

No matter your gender, you can learn about and fight for the rights of women. The history and story of this movement reaches far back into the past; back into our mythology, stories, and religions. Through writing, engaging activities, exploration, and art, we will uncover the truth about being women on this planet and in this country, as well as discovering our own truth.

Open to Young Women and Trans and Gender Nonconforming Youth in Grades 8-11

Young Feminist Leadership Academy 2020

The YFLA course helps young women and trans youth develop into strong leaders and doers through a combination of writing, reflection, and discussion, as well as group and individual projects. The four-month course is designed to support and inspire young people to reach for their full potential as feminist leaders in today's society.

YFLA is open to young women and TGNC youth, in grades 8-12, who have previously participated in WWf(a)C programming.

What Will Your Legacy Be?

Your smile, your voice, your ideas, your writing... Perhaps the way you encourage those around you? Your legacy can also inspire the inner voice of countless future writers. Please consider a legacy gift to WWf(a)C in your will, trust or beneficiary designation. You can nurture this writing community for years to come!

It Takes a Community!

With immense gratitude, we recognize all who made gifts to Women Writing for (a) Change during 2019. Your enthusiastic generosity fosters the special uniqueness and vitality that brings Women Writing for (a) Change into its 29th year! Your support funds scholarships for many who could not otherwise attend writing circles. It allows outreach to urban teens and to young women experiencing or at risk of homelessness, through in-school writing circles.

It is with deep appreciation that we list all who made gifts to Women Writing for (a) Change during 2019 and all who are honored or remembered with these gifts. They make a life changing difference. Please click the link below to see the listing. Thank you!
