There are opportunities to engage in planning for new funds for early care and education—register below. Round Table 2 for center administrator will be held this week. Sign up for one of the three sessions focused on strategies for workforce compensation, and use of the $10M ERAF funds for ECE. OECE’s June 8 Town Hall will share community input for the first five year spending plan for ECE for All (Prop C), which is projected to raise an estimated $120M annually for ECE.
Mark your calendar for July 3! A court date has been set for the summary judgment on the Howard Jarvis Association suit against ECE for All (Prop C). Show up to let the court know our community is concerned about this challenge to much needed funds for early care and education. More details to come.

The Budget Justice Coalition has been holding trainings on the San Francisco budget. The next training will be on

On June 5, 2018, San Francisco voters approved the Early Care and Education (ECE) for all Initiative (aka Baby Prop C) which could provide an estimated $121 million annually in new funding to support quality ECE for children ages 0-5 in San Francisco. Over the last 7 months, OECE collected input from parents, families, early educators, ECE stakeholders, and San Francisco community members on their priorities, needs, and opportunities for ECE in San Francisco in order to help inform a first 5 year spending plan for Baby Prop C funds.
The goal of this town hall is to share a summary of community input collected throughout this process as well as our draft spending plan proposal. Interpretation will be provided in Cantonese and Spanish and snacks and refreshments will be served.

CDEV 105, CRN #53694, will be offered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 6:10 to 9:55, for 3 weeks, 6/11 - 6/27. Please register early. This course is a requirement for the top 3 child development permits (option 1) and is one of the minimum eligibility requirements to apply to be a
Mentor Teacher for the CA Early Childhood Mentor Program. Mentor Teacher openings are available at CCSF. Apply by October 1, 2019.
The course covers, methods and principles of supervising adults in early childhood classrooms. Emphasis on the role of the experienced teacher who functions as the supervisor to center staff. Explores the head teacher’s relationship to new teachers while simultaneously addressing the needs of children, parents and other staff.
