DolphinFest
Come make lasting memories with the whole family at this year's
DolphinFest on March 2nd, from 10AM-3PM. Our PTO's largest fundraiser, proceeds from DolphinFest allow us to support our amazing school and teachers, while also providing free, fun family events like Family Movie Night, the Dolphin Tale Ball and the Mother/Son Dance, and so much more! Unique to this year's event, we will also have the privilege of sharing a percentage of the DolphinFest proceeds with Forest Hill Elementary's PTO, aiding them in getting their parent group up and running. You do not want to miss!!
Don't like waiting in line?! Save time by purchasing your DolphinFest tickets online by February 26th. You can also purchase tickets for your child to be entered to win a FastPass, allowing them to skip all the game and activity lines! Don't forget your ID!
Everyone has been doing such a great job checking in and out with Mrs. Toll at the main entrance. You must be prepared to show your ID every single time you come to school to visit or to check out a student. Additionally, all visitors should wear their printed ID badge at all times when in the school building. Thank you for cooperating with these procedures to ensure the safety of our children!

Support Our Art Program
Our Art Teachers have an Amazon Wishlist for books that will be used to support art instruction during art classes. Though they are not checked out of the art rooms for students to take home, Ms. Luyendyk and Ms. Drury both have reading areas in their rooms available to early finishers. They also utilize the books as an option on Freedraw Days, which are a reward for great classes and students at the end of the quarter.
Our wonderful Art Teachers need help preparing for our annual Fine Arts Night! They need help filling out forms for each student and preparing the artwork for display. It is just an hour and ANY help is appreciated!! Thank you!
If you can help fill out forms, but cannot come to the school, you may take some home. Reach out to Ms. Drury:
marci.drury@gmsdk12.org
Any help is appreciated!

Shout Outs
Shout out to all of the
volunteers who helped in the classrooms with Dolphin CREW this week. Thank you to
Mrs. McIntyre and the teachers of the LEAP committee who planned the lesson and had the vision for the art installation.
Holly Kulp did a fantastic job organizing the volunteers and making the whole project happen seamlessly. Please check out the students' art work outside the cafeteria the next time you visit for lunch.
The Dogwood community is the best!! There are so many people who serve our students, teachers, and families so well that we would like to recognize them more publicly throughout the year. If you have a shout out for a student, teacher, parent, or administrator any time throughout the year, please email it to
