BREWSTER DAY CAMP          Newsletter    July 28, 2019        Vol. 38 Issue 12

Hello Brewster Day Camp Family!

Week 5 proved to be quite a rollercoaster and we are happy to announce that BDC survived the wild weather early in the week! Campers and staff are all to thank for remaining calm, moving quickly into safe and dry locations and keeping up their Good Spirit in their shelter locations. As I ran around campus in the driving rain, all I could hear was happy singing and cheers, followed by the most fun rainy-day game of all, Who's Shoes are These? The sun returned to 3570 Main Street and we enjoyed the warm sunshine, as we do best, by earning ribbons in the Swim Meet, exploring water and erosion at ECOD, and by making Tie-Dye at ART! We finished Week 5 full of style and color, as the entire camp family proudly wore the beautiful tie-dye creations they made throughout the week.

This week is one of the most exciting weeks of the summer! In each program area throughout the week, we focus on positive competition, good spirit, teamwork and LEADERSHIP. On Friday, Olympic Day, all of camp is divided into seven teams, each representing a different country. Our oldest campers LEAD these teams, full of campers from all three Mariners, Sailors, and Admirals Hills through Olympic challenges all over camp. Who will take home the Olympic Day trophy? Find out on Friday with plenty of...
