Happy Retirement to our Beloved, Debra Jones, RN

If you would like to participate in a special gift we are working on for her, we have a matted frame and photo we are giving to her and it would be lovely to have YOU come in and sign it. It will be in the Olympia office from May 10-21 and in the Lakewood office from May 22-31. Please drop by during these dates to sign or write a note to Deb, joining us in thanking her for her work here and wishing her the very best in this next chapter of her life.
DOCUMENTATION TIP OF THE MONTH

Please remember that BOTH sides of the “Client Care Flowsheet” must be completed and signed every shift.

Check the appropriate boxes on the front and write a narrative note on the back. AVOID writing “companionship provided” in your documentation. Instead, focus on the specifics of what you did with your client. This is what 3rd party payers need to see when they are reviewing documentation and determining a client's eligibility. Thank You!
2021 Special Enrollment Period for Marketplace Coverage ends Saturday, May 15, 2021

The US Department of Health and Human Services has announced the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) that the Special Enrollment Period (SEP) for the Health Insurance Marketplace and has officially made available to consumers in the 36 states that use the HealthCare.gov platform that started Monday February 15th, and will continue through Saturday, May 15th.

The COVID-19 Public Health Emergency has affected millions of people throughout the country, and many Americans remain uninsured or underinsured and need access to affordable health coverage. The SEP will allow individuals and families to enroll in the health coverage they need. Individuals who are uninsured can take this opportunity to look for coverage and find out if they qualify for financial assistance to help pay for health insurance. Find out if you qualify for plans under $50 or less per month after financial assistance. In addition, all of the plans at HealthCare.gov cover essential health benefits, such as primary care visits and cover many preventive care services with no out-of-pocket cost to the individual. Visit: https://www.healthcare.gov/ for more information on how to apply.

We've had the opportunity this month to both witness and hear about how YOU all are helping our clients and making a difference in their lives. We want to highlight some of those quotes here:

Michelle, daughter of client

Welcome to the AHC family.
Thank you for choosing to be a part of our caring team!
As we celebrate Memorial Day on Monday, May 31 this year, we honor and remember those who have served this country and given the ultimate sacrifice so that we can enjoy our freedoms. The AHC offices will be closed that day, as this is one of our observed holidays, but the on call nurse and scheduler will still be available via phone for emergencies. All worked shifts are also time and a half that day.
