STAGE TWO: REOPENING LOWER RISK WORKPLACES
Governor Newsom cleared the way for some manufacturing, logistics, and retail businesses to reopen tomorrow. This marks California's entry into "Stage 2" of the Road Map to Recovery. "Lower risk" workplaces listed below may open as soon as tomorrow, as long as they fill out and post the San Diego County Safe Reopening Plan Template and provide it to their employees. INDUSTRY GUIDANCE IN 17 SECTORS
The State of California COVID-19 released guidance today for each early Stage 2 business to follow. The goal is a safe, clean environment for workers and customers.

All other businesses should complete a plan template to be ready.
FOOD RESOURCES
At its meeting last night, the Oceanside City Council approved an additional $180,000 to continue the distribution of hot meals and fresh produce bags for themost vulnerable Oceanside residents through June 30, 2020 during the COVID-19 emergency. Map of distribution sites

SMALL BUSINESS LOANS
The City Council directed staff to set aside $1.2 million for a loan program to provide short-term gap funding for Oceanside small businesses during the pandemic.

Stay at Home Orders are still in place, except for essential needs. Gatherings are not yet permitted. Thank you for continuing to wash hands frequently, disinfect surfaces, and stay home if you're sick. As of May 1, everyone must wear face coverings anywhere in public they come within 6 feet of another person, or whenever they enter a business.
