Update from Dr. Enslin
EPIC is going strong and we are getting more and more recognition from industry. Helping with this is our presence at energy conferences where we are sharing the important work taking place at EPIC with our industry partners, students, and faculty. We were especially excited to promote the Stacked Value Proposition, a real game changer in the area of energy storage at the Energy Storage Association Conference. As you will see below, EPIC is also frequently in the news and we will soon be featured in
Transmission and Distribution Magazine
and
Business North Carolina
. Staying busy requires support from our partners and I would especially like to thank our Affiliate Members who understand the importance of investing in EPIC so our work can continue.

EPIC Energy Seminar Series
Thank you to all who attended the EPIC Energy Seminar Series this academic year. We were pleased to offer experts in the industry who spoke on a range of topics on power and energy.
We had 21
seminars with over 730 attendees, with almost an even split between university and industry folks in attendance.
The Energy Seminar Series will ramp up again on August 23, and due to such an interest we will now offer a seminar every Tuesday from 12:30-1:30. Look for more information soon!

Thank you
In response to changes in procedures at UNC Charlotte and to reorganization within EPIC, we are in the process of
restructuring our technical services activities.
As of
July 1, 2016
, the Energy and Environmental Assistance Office (
EEAO)
office will be closed and all existing
EEAO
projects will be continued and delivered through
EPIC by our faculty and staff. The same is true for future projects currently being discussed and/or proposed.
EEAO (formerly EAO) has served UNC Charlotte for decades and were instrumental in bringing state and regional agencies, small businesses, and engineering practitioners together with talented UNC Charlotte faculty and students to address environmental issues. Thank you especially to Regina Guyer and Karyn Williamson-Coria for their dedication and hard work!
