15 February 2019
Greetings from Mr. Gault

Gentlemen have completed the first half of the 2018-2019 academic year with mid-term examinations completed and report cards distributed. Our Parent/Teacher conferences realized a ninety-eight percent rate of family participation. More importantly, over forty percent of the student population secured a position on the schools Honor Roll. We are extremely proud of the accomplishments of these special young men who have worked very hard to achieve their goals. As we venture forward into the new semester, our De La Salle Gentlemen have articulated their hopes and dreams as they set new goals for the next phase of their education.

Our annual Special Person's Valentine's Dance was a rousing success! On Friday, 8 February the staff transformed the gym into a magnificent Valentine themed ballroom. The school sponsored the event in order for our students to celebrate and appreciate their moms, grandmothers, aunts or other adult females who have a special role in their lives and place in their hearts. Mrs. MacNaughton and Miss Diana provided our Gentlemen with dance lessons including the waltz, box step and cha-cha. It was a most enjoyable and moving evening with music provided by Adrian our DJ and with refreshments and decorations enhancing the festivities. We invite you to visit our website to share in the joy and celebration of family and community here at The De La Salle School.

The new semester also begins our recruiting season. We are now recruiting our next class, our eighteenth! Many candidates are visiting our school for a Shadow Day with current students. If you know a young man, currently in the fourth grade, who could benefit from a Catholic school education and whose family thought they could never afford such an option please share our story and encourage them to contact the school for further information and or an application. For the last several years we have had waiting lists for seats in our fifth grade, therefore those interested in applying for membership in our fifth-grade class for September are encouraged to act promptly .

Thank you for your continued support as we look forward to warmer weather celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2019 and welcoming the Class of 2023.

Live Jesus in our hearts...
