Congratulations to our 2020 Business Excellence Award Winners
Nominations were accepted through our website throughout this past year and taken through July 2020. Nominees were notified and asked to submit an application outlining their qualifications, community service, growth, and innovation for either their business or themselves to be considered for a Top 20 Under 40 Award, a Top Business Award or a Top Emerging Business Award. Candidates and applications were then judged by a special committee through our Business Council and scored based on merit to determine this year's winners.

Visit our website for more information on the judging criteria and ways to nominate individuals or businesses for our 2021 Business Excellence Awards.

For years, families involved in youth sports have supported efforts to build a facility in Amarillo that can host large sports tournaments.

Although this is a critical need for our community, sadly today, we are still sending our teams and tax dollars out of town for tournament play.

Families are traveling to Dallas, Albuquerque, Oklahoma City and further to watch their kids on the court. When you consider gas, hotel rooms, food and other travel-related expenses, the dollars add up fast.

The new Civic Center will not only bring that economic activity back to Amarillo, it will create a sports tournament mecca FOR Amarillo and the Panhandle.

See Tina Sims' video with Amarillo Xtreme Volleyball for more.
The new Civic Center will allow us the flexibility to set up 20 volleyball courts, 10 basketball courts, two sheets of ice for hockey and a competition indoor track to host NCAA events.

It's time we welcome teams to our town and it's time WE benefit from the great economic impact youth sports creates.

We hope you'll join us in voting FOR Prop A so we can give our kids a local place to play for decades to come.
Find out more about the redevelopment of the Amarillo Civic Center on the website and Facebook page.
The IRS is mailing millions of letters to encourage people who typically aren’t required to file tax returns to check whether they’re eligible for an Economic Impact Payment.
