Know Before You Go: Road Update
Sycamore Street Bridge
*Boone County Highway Department project
The reconstruction project for the Sycamore Street bridge began Feb. 10, 2020 . The currently scheduled date of reopening is Aug. 28, 2020.

During construction the bridge will be closed to through traffic. The official detour will utilize US 421/Michigan Road, 106th Street and Main Street.

CR 500 South Closure
CR 500 South (Whitestown Road) immediately west of CR 875 East will be closed on or after Feb. 12. This closure is scheduled for three full days, weather dependent.

This is for the Phase I Gravity Sewer Project on CR 875 East.

Sen. Ford Presents Special Resolution to ZFD
Sen. J.D. Ford presented ZFD Chief James VanGorder and Firefighter Paramedic Abdullakh “Dully” Abamislimov a special resolution for receiving the Fire Chief of the Year and Paramedic of the Year Awards at the 2019 Indiana Emergency Response Conference (IERC) Awards Banquet.

Mayor and Town Council Announce 2020 Appointments
Mayor Styron and the Zionsville Town Council have announced board/committee/commission new appointments and reappointments.

When making appointments, one of Mayor Styron’s priorities was to include more women in these Town roles. Eighty-percent of the Mayor's appointees are women.

Chief Knox Receives Chamber Award
Congratulations to Zionsville Police Department Chief Robert Knox who received the Dahlia Excellence in Service Award at the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet!

Job Opportunity: Chief of Police

A search is underway to attract a highly qualified candidate to lead the Zionsville Police Department (ZPD). Appointed by the Mayor, the Chief of Police is responsible for ZPD’s relationship with the entire community and the overall leadership, culture, performance, and efficiency of the department.
