Seasons Greetings CPWC Members!
As we move from the season of gratitude into the season of giving, we'd like to express our thanks for the November program. Special thanks to Row Henson, the author who joined us at our November meeting to share her stories of her life in France with her dog Mac, the miraculous work of the UGA Veterinary hospital, and her experience of becoming an author. Thank you Ellie Lacey for connecting us with Row, and to the whole Programs team for putting together another great meeting.
Looking forward, we are preparing for our annual CPWC holiday gift and cookie exchange on December 14th at Beverly Dozier's beautiful home. Our charity and programs committees worked together to add an exciting twist to the event; a Kendra Scott Jewelry pop up shop benefiting Kidz2Leaders! Christina Cummings from Kidz2Leaders is joining us on to talk about the important and impactful work of the charity. We are pleased and honored to announce that The Federal Loan Bank is giving $3,000 to Kidz2Leaders in honor of CPWC, providing an inspiring kick off to our fund raising. Participation in the gift and cookie exchanges at the December meeting are optional. To join in the gift exchange, please bring a wrapped gift, valued at $20 or less. To make things interesting, opened gifts can be stolen a couple of times before being retired. If you plan to exchange cookies, bring three dozen cookies and a separate container in which to take home 3 dozen cookies.
On Saturday, December 15th at Mt. Bethel Church, The Savvy Evening Group is giving back by volunteering at the Kidz2Leaders annual holiday party. Volunteers are needed from 9am-1pm, and are welcome to volunteer for less then the full three hours. All CPWC members are welcome to volunteer. Please email
patricia.iaffaldano@gmail.com to sign up.
Sunday, December 16th is the annual CPWC/CPCA Yule Log celebration and bonfire at McFarland Park from 2:30 to 4:30pm. Come to see Santa, play games, enjoy cookies & hot chocolate, and join in celebration with your neighbors.
Please sign up to help!
