Our physician collegiality dinners are back by popular demand in 2019!  This dinner is the first of many, and is hosted by our Women in Medicine Committee.

Women physician members are invited to don a red dress, or a power suit, for this dinner and share experiences related to being a female physician in 2019. How has it changed since Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell became the first female physician? Would she be proud? Or outraged?

Join us, together with your female colleagues, as we celebrate the many rewards (and challenges) of your life. 

• A 20-year employee with a bad attitude who won't retire or the 20-something front desk employee who stays on his phone despite warnings?
• Or the employee who has marital problems and the spouse keeps showing up at the practice?
• Or the one who is a great employee but you later find out failed to disclose multiple dismissals in their work history?
• An employee excels in her position, but complains about coworkers who don't work as hard as she does?
• Or one who threatens to quit because he can make more money elsewhere?

This two-day conference will bring together clinicians, payors, regulators, and researchers to discuss how the industry can collaboratively to improve health outcomes and control costs through alignment. The focus will be on the physician practice's influence in driving value-based care and
the legislation driving these changes.

This year marks the 116th anniversary of Montgomery County Medical Society since its founding in 1903. Our society's first president, Dr. Roger Brooke, VII (pictured above) is credited among the first physicians to emphasize preventative medicine.

Join us as we celebrate his august legacy and ponder what he would have thought of medicine in the 21st century.
