Please, tell us a little bit about yourself.
I was born in Peoria, Illinois and I attended/graduated from California State University, Fullerton.
I have worked for 19 years at Jefferson (24 in all). I am currently a 5th grade teacher, but I taught 6th grade at Jefferson too!
What was your first job?
I worked retail stock worker/unloading trucks of merchandise for Mervyn's.
Now let's talk about some of your favorites..
My favorite bands are the Manchester Orchestra or Silversun Pickups. When it comes to sports, my favorite teams are the U.S. women's soccer team, Los Angeles Angels, the Lakers. My favorite movie is Star Wars (I'm a huge Star Wars fan!).
What is your favorite travel place?
I love to travel to any national park, especially the Yellowstone or Yosemite.
What is one book that everyone should read at least once in their lives?
The Harry Potter Series.
What’s the first thing you would buy, if you were to win the lottery and why?
I would buy a nice meal for my family and friends to thank them for their love and support.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Mouth noises from eating.
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Cleaning the bathroom.
What is one thing that people may not know about you?
I have jumped from a plane at 12,000 ft. (with a parachute of course!).
If you could choose your age forever, what age would you choose and why?
Not sure.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I would learn to be an astronaut.
