I want to thank all of you again for your faithful stewardship during this crisis. We are five weeks into the crisis and while collections are down a bit, it is not insurmountable. God bless you all.

In the last couple of updates you have heard me say that while the methods we are using to make and grow disciples is different, our mission is still the same. To that end we would like to offer you opportunities for spiritual growth during this time of sheltering in place. The following are groups that we invite you to join. To join a group, please email the host as they will need your email address to send you the Zoom invitation. Zoom is free and easy for you to use.

Pray the Rosary
Monday through Friday at 7:00 p.m.

Join parishioners as we pray the rosary each weeknight.

Teachable Moments with Ted Talks
Mondays 8:00-9:00 p.m. 

There is power in a story, whether you're sharing yours or listening to someone else's. TED Talks are stories around 20 minutes in length that invite us to live our best lives, by being the best version of ourselves. Join Marlene Stammerman, our Director of Discipleship in unpacking her Top 5 TED Talks.  Dates: May 4,11,18,25,June 1,8.

First Fifteen to Forty                                          
Tuesdays 11:00 a.m.-11:40 a.m.           

A good way to enhance your experience of liturgy is to spend some time prior to Sunday mass with the readings. JPII has all of our meetings start with the First Fifteen (sharing time on an upcoming reading for mass); during this season of time, we are expanding and offering a 40 minute sharing time exploring all of the readings for the upcoming weekend mass.  Dates: May 5,12,19,26,June 2,9.

Cenacles for Life Prayers
Tuesdays 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. 
 
Starting just after Tuesday evening mass, Cenacles for Life is a time of prayer encompassing adoration, the rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and virtual adoration. Michele Ashby will be facilitating this prayer opportunity. Volunteers will be taking the lead in various parts of the prayer service. If you have questions please call Michele at 502-592-3791. Alpha Online (Adults)
Wednesdays 2-3:30 p.m. OR 7-8:30 p.m.

Alpha is moving online, and we would love for you to join us! During this time of uncertainty, we find ourselves asking questions about faith, purpose and meaning. Come explore these topics and bring a friend! We will gather for a video and then break into small groups for discussion. The Daytime course will be hosted by Christine Miller, and the evening will be hosted by Keith Thompson. Journeying with God in Difficult Times  
Thursdays 1:00-2:30 p.m. 
 
Sometimes it is easy to find ourselves in the Scriptures. Travel with us through the stories of Joseph (of the Technicolor Dream Coat fame); the Israelites in the desert; Job; and Lazarus. These stories tell us a lot about God and our relationship with God. Dates: May 7,14,21,28

5 Biblical Principles of Money 
Thursdays 7:00-8:00 p.m.    
 
Is what we do with our money important to God? Does God tell us how we should handle our finances? Is there good, Biblical advice on what we should do with our financial and material resources? I think the answer to all of those questions is yes. Come join in a discussion about God’s and Grandma’s ways of handling money. Bring your Bibles. Dates: May 7,14,21,28
