THANK YOU! Oakcrest alumnae raised over $3,100 in a single day and this will have a HUGE impact for future Oakies. The Oakcrest Alumnae Association matched gifts up to $2,500.
From all of us at Oakcrest, thank you for your support on #GivingTuesday and every day that you pray for Oakcrest and our noble mission to support women who will become the "Trustees of Humanity."
Thank You for your Feedback!
We had about 60 responses on the Alumnae Survey and would love to hear from more of our alumnae. We are already acting on some of your suggestions. For example, keep your eyes open for upcoming alumnae happy hours in DC and VA. The first 10 unique survey responses will receive a $5 Starbucks gift card. In order to send a gift card, we need your email address or mobile number.
Check out our new Oakcrest School Alumnae account and enjoy throwback photos, new glimpses of school today, and more. The account is for alumnae only. Please share the news! http://bit.ly/2KmjkEF
The Awesome Power of Learning: A Conversation with Mary T. Ortiz and Kathleen Pacious, Oakcrest Class of 2004
When she was a high school student, Kathleen Pacious (‘04) probably never imagined that one day she’d be working at a school just like Oakcrest all the way across the Atlantic. But life is funny that way. And after quite a few of life’s twists and turns, Kathleen now happily serves as Head of Development at Rosemont Secondary School in Dublin, Ireland. Read Kathleen's full profile here.
Holly Salls (esteemed Oakcrest Philosophy teacher aka Sallcrates) will begin a book club on January 17 from 7:30 - 8:30 pm in Oakcrest's new library. Huddle around the fireplace with wine and cheese as we discuss: Who Am I to Judge? by Edward Sri. The book is only 160 pages long, not difficult to understand and talks about how to deal with moral relativism and moral relativists in daily life. RSVP to hsalls@oakcrest.org.
