Paramahansa Yoganada

This Week's Affirmation

.

Reverend Maryum's Weekly Prayer

I Am a Unique Divine Creation
God is all there is. Everything and everyone in the Universe exists because of Spirit. Universal Intelligence births all expressions of Itself. All life is God in manifestation, and it is my privilege to demonstrate Spirit in all I think, say, and do.

I allow Spirit to flow through me as life, love, light, power, peace, beauty, and joy as I remember who I am and whose I am. I am the I Am presence. I am a perfect child of the Divine, which provides everything I desire. I enjoy creative expression of the unique talents and gifts with which Spirit has endowed me. Aware it is through me that God manifests Itself, I honor the Creator by being myself and recognizing the divinity in others. I am a Unique divine creation.

I am grateful for all my blessings and allow their perfect demonstration in my life. I release this Truth and let go knowing the Law of Mind responds to my word. It is done. And so it is. Amen
Rev. Maryum Morse

Intuitive Card Reading just for You!

I am pulling a card  from the John Holland PSYCHIC TAROT ORACLE DECK- for today's wisdom

Emotion Card 9
Fulfillment of Wishes
John Holland's CARD MEANING
"This card _ being one, if not the most positive, of the Minor Arcana cards _ represents emotional satisfaction, contentment, and enjoyment. Your wishes are coming true! Are you ready? Happiness, success, good health, completion, and accomplishment of your dreams and goals are in the palm of your hand. This card acts as a reminder to hold on to beneficial feelings from accepting and receiving what you've asked for or strived for. Know that these will assist you in the future when you may need inspiration and positive energy.

This is the right time to heal those past memories that have been holding you hostage. Forgive others and yourself so that your wishes, desires and goals have a clear, unobstructed path to your heart, soul, and life.

JUST A THOUGHT (or two) ABOUT THIS CARD:
What stands out from this card is: "holding on to the good feelings""

Here's why:
When your goal is in sight and you see the end of the tunnel and you know it's about to birth or that your feet are about to cross the finish line, that feeling of jubilation, anticipation and success that is welling up from the soles of your feet to the tips of your hair - you need to stay positive and light filled, so that the big Grey Goose that is delivering your good, sees the landing runway and don't get redirected to another place.

You get what I'm saying? How many times have you been about to cross the finish line and instead of celebrating your impending victory, you've allowed your fears, and feelings of unworthiness rob you from the full expression of your delight?

This card is about SAVORING the good times. It's not cute nor is it practical (no matter what some grown folks will try to tell you) to not celebrate your good fortune. Now ain't the time to do a feasibility study or an alternative plan - not when you're so close to winning. You don't have to be conservative in your joy and delight. Kill that noise for sure.

You deserve each and every one of your victories - be it manifesting the money to pay a bill that was weighing on you or discovering that you have enough credits to graduate in two more semesters (HELLO, ROXY).

Either way, this is your moment. This your time. There ain't no better reason than to accept the good fortune that you made happen through your perseverance, faith and muscle.

Like those lyrics from Smashmouth's ALL STAR:
Hey now, you're an All Star. Get your game on, go play
Hey now, you're a Rock Star. Get the show on get paid
And all that glitters is gold
Only shooting stars break the mold.

Don't be ho-hum about your good stuff!  Be like a firework against the night sky - incandescent with joyfulness!   Strut your stuff and remember you did this, you earned it and now it's your moment to celebrate. Hold these memories of your victory close. Don't allow your change-resistant ego to steal one moment of your joy. Be a shining star and example of what happens when you get it right!!
Everyone needs that inspiration. Don't dim your light one iota. Everybody wins when one of us wins. Remember that.

Now this card is the 9 card of the Emotions suit (Water or Cups in traditional decks) which means, it is an angel number that symbolizes love, faith, spiritual enlightenment, and spiritual awakening. In Hinduism and considered a complete, perfected and divine number because it represents the end of a cycle. So as I've stated, you're about to cross the finish line and WIN BABY!

This number is also a shout out to all lightworkers: You are emotionally in the strongest position to do the most good on this material plane and you are to experience exquisite rewards as long as you stay mentally and emotionally in the light.

There's a wise man/woman who is becoming unleashed from within you. Own it, be it, and share the rainbows and sparkly dust that is coming off of this sweet victory with the rest of the world

So here's an affirmation to help us stay in the light of gratitude and delight

"The air I breathe, the ground I walk on, are all a gift from the Universe. I express my gratitude for everything now."

And so it is.
And So It Is.

What Brother Ernie said:

Chapter 8 - What About Your "Investments"?

PRIOR to the period of our recent economic disturbance, the entire world was more investment-conscious than at any previous time in history. From elevator boy to corporation president, the first item people scanned in the morning paper was the stock market report.

Then came the panic. As stocks dropped to new "lows" people lost confidence and dumped everything onto the market. Many good investment stocks went right into discard along with the more highly-speculative holdings, and people awoke in a state of bewilderment.

The same thing is happening to us in our spiritual life. We have come upon a day when we have lost faith in much that we one time considered an authority.

When we lose faith in the authority of any existing institution, we are very likely, in repudiating its tenets, to throw out something that we should keep, just as we did with our stocks, when our perspective was gone.

Now, we are not alarmed over the thought that we shall suffer greatly in the dropping of many creeds and ceremonies, but we are anxious that we shall hold on to God.

I have nothing to sell you, nothing to teach you, nothing of which I wish to persuade you, but I would like to share with you a knowledge which you may find helpful. Ours is a pursuit of spiritual understanding, the knowledge of which will aid you in any kind of business.

Some people get fanatical in trying to discover Truth. Let us try to keep perfectly sane in our pursuit, always recognizing that fanaticism is accompanied by personal egotism, and that personal egotism leads into fanaticism. There would be no religious fanaticism if man understood religion and its universality.

There should be no danger of a sane man losing his reason in the pursuit of spiritual things, because all insanity is the result, some result, of a disconnection of the mind with Reality, with actuality, with everyday affairs.

Therefore, in our spiritual awakening, we do not need to separate ourselves. To do so is a mistake. The method of approach is to take the spiritual outlook to where we are. It is by unifying life with Reality that we come to see in every objective symbol a spiritual cause and a reason for its being. There is a way to arrive at peace and happiness in what we are now doing.

Whether our problems are social or economic -- whether our investments are for today or for eternity -- metaphysics, rightly understood, is a valuable asset in the fine art of living. We have foolishly thought that we could insult the integrity of the universe and prosper. But man is a spiritual expression, and as such must find his real satisfaction in the things that endure.

We must awaken to the truth that essentially this world order in which we live is a spiritual order; that honesty, justice, and love are the very foundations of all life; and they cannot be flaunted with impunity, without destroying the moral and spiritual principles that underlie all human relationships.

Food for Thought...

5 Steps to Rewrite the Story of Your Life

How can you do this?

1. Realize that you have a relationship with your life.

Try to think of your life as a companion with whom you have a relationship. Thinking this way helps you take your life as a whole, rather than a simple series of events. It enables you to step back and view the entire canvas for what it is.

2. See yourself as the creator.

This is about being proactive, but also stepping out of the roles of victim or martyr, like Keisha and Tim, that your story so far has cast you in. It also helps to counter autopilot of Brad's going through the motions. Creating is about realizing that you have choices and actually making a choice, rather than falling into default mode. Your life at the end is the completed painting, but before that, it is ever before you, ready for you to step up and create something new.

3. Realize that life is teaching you about life.

To sidestep feeling like the victim, you want to see problems as potential lessons to learn. As the poet Rilke said, "Ultimately each one of us experiences only one conflict in life which constantly reappears under a different guise." What is your one conflict? What is it that your life and your problems are trying most to teach you?

4. Realize that you can change the story.

This is where attitude and proactivity kick in. Regardless of your story, it is still a narrative and, like a painting, it can be changed. Will changing the story bring you all that you want? Not necessarily. But can it cast you and your life in different roles that are less trapped, less stressed, less anxious? Yes, it can. Your story can become the blueprint for your life - the starting point, the vision that may or may not come to pass. But without the vision or the blueprint, nothing creative happens.

5. You need to care for the relationship.

Any relationship is capable of falling into disconnection and conflict when not nurtured, when problems are ignored, or when everyday life creates tunnel vision. To avoid this, you need to step back - daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly - to ask the important but difficult questions: How are me and my life doing? Are we on the same track? Are we moving in the same direction? Are there problems that keep us from moving forward and feeling fulfilled? This type of reflection is invaluable and necessary, but all too easy to push to the side. Don't.

To close, some expert advice:

From Benjamin Button: "It's never too late to be whoever you want to be. You can change or stay the same; there are no rules to this thing. I hope you live you're proud of, and if you find you are not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again."

From Antonio Machado: "Traveler, there is no path; the path is made by walking."

Excerpted from:

  Yes, You are loved

"Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared." - Buddha
