Staying Healthy During Flu Season

We are in the middle of the cold and flu season. To help reduce the spread of seasonal flu, Twin Rivers recommends that your child stay home from school if experiencing cold or flu symptoms:
  • A sudden fever, usually above 100 degrees
  • Chills and body aches
  • Headache
  • Stomachache
  • Sore throat
  • Cough that gets worse
  • Fatigue
  • Runny or stuffy nose
  • Vomiting and diarrhea
We also want to keep you informed about the coronavirus outbreak in China. Currently, there are no confirmed cases in Sacramento County and exposure risk remains low, according to Sacramento County Public Health.

To Help Prevent Cold, Flu and Coronavirus:
  • Wash hands often with soap and water
  • Cough and sneeze into your sleeve
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Avoid contact with sick people
  • Stay at home if you are sick
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends flu shots for everyone 6 months of age and older
