Holiday Garbage Pick-Up
Due to the holidays, there will be no garbage pickup on Wednesday, December 25 or Wednesday, January 1. Routes will be picked up one day late for the remainder of those weeks.

Just a reminder that all garbage placed out for pickup must be inside the provided containers. If you anticipate needing more waste containers, they can be rented for $3.25/month billed directly to the resident. Items too large to fit inside the container are considered bulk items. Only one bulk item per week may be picked up. To rent additional containers or to schedule a bulk item pick up; call Republic directly at 815-723-3200.
Snow Routes and Snow Removal
Snow Routes:
If you reside on a posted snow route, please remember that parking restrictions automatically go into effect after two inches of snowfall. Parking is not allowed on these streets until the storm passes and the street is plowed.

Don’t Crowd the Plow
A snow plow operator’s field of vision is restricted. You may see them but they often may not see you. Please give these trucks plenty of space to do their job. A safe practice is to keep a distance of fifty feet between you and a moving snowplow.

Check out our snow policy
Our complete snow policy is available here . In it you will find our detailed policy with all the information you need to know about our snow plowing operations.
