We Will Chicago is a new three-year, citywide planning initiative that will encourage neighborhood growth and vibrancy while addressing social and economic inequities that impair Chicago’s legacy as a global city.

We Will is recruiting approximately 120 individual volunteers to help develop the major themes, issues and policy guidelines that will be included in the citywide plan. All interested Chicagoans are eligible to apply.

We Will’s Community Partner program is recruiting up to 14 community-oriented groups to help develop the citywide planning process. Each selected Community Partner will be paid $15,000 for its participation.
The ARCC Online Resource Directory is an online website providing access to materials and resources to help interested community and faith-based organizations and academic partners to learn about how they can build capacity to conduct community-engaged research and support building, strengthening, and sustaining their partnership. Two new resources have recently been added to the Directory:

  • Resources for Learning about Chicagoland Communities: Links to books, videos, organizations, and other resources that may be helpful for researchers that are new to Chicagoland or are not familiar or don’t have lived experience with Chicagoland communities that they engage in research.
The Center for Community Health is supported, in part, by the
Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, Grant Number UL1TR001422 from the National Center for
Advancing Translational Sciences, Clinical and Translational Sciences Award
and the
Institute of Public Health and Medicine (IPHAM).
