Greetings!

It's been a while so I thought I'd update you on some of my recent activities, from the release on digital media tomorrow of the award-winning feature film I scored entitled " You & Me ", my work writing songs for " Esme & Roy " ( HBO / Sesame Workshop ), my arrangements of Prince music for orchestra, my concert directing Brooklyn College's Big Band taking place TOMORROW ( Dec. 4/18 ) featuring my original music , and more!

I'm excited that " You & Me ", the feature directed by Alexander Baack (and winner of the " Audience Award " at Cinequest ), will be released on digital media on Tues. Dec. 4th/18 including iTunes . Also look for the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack album coming soon to Spotify , iTunes , Apple Music , and elsewhere! It's a touching film which tells the unlikely story of a relationship between a blind man and deaf woman (the latter played by Alex's wife, Hillary Baack, who also co-wrote the film). I'm also excited to be writing the music for songs for the new hit Sesame Workshop kids show " Esme & Roy ", now showing on HBO . Here's the first song, "Pick 'Em Up" (music written/arranged by me, with lyrics by Lucas Mills and Dustin Ferrer):

I'm excited to be completing my first semester conducting the Brooklyn College Big Band (where I'm also directing their Global Jazz Masters program and teaching courses in Media Scoring at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema ). Come to our Final Concert tomorrow (Tues. Dec. 4/18) at 8 pm at Brooklyn College's brand new Tow Center for the Performing Arts, where we'll be premiering new arrangements from my Suite for New York , as well as two Global Jazz Masters student originals! Other upcoming performances including my participation in two celebrations of the life and music of the great jazz pianis t Cecil Taylor (both in NYC). The first will take place this Wed. Dec. 5th in collaboration with poet Tracie Morris at the Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural Center as part of "Conquistador! The Legacy of Cecil Taylor" , from 6:30-8:30 pm. The 2nd takes place Tues. Dec. 11th in an appearance I'll be doing with longtime collaborators Oliver Lake on sax and Pheeroan Aklaff on drums, as part of the Cecil Taylor Memorial taking place at Roulette that starts at 7 pm.

Finally, another arrangement I wrote (of Jimi Hendrix's " Little Wing ") is also making its way around the world - here's the Ahn Trio performing it in from a recent concert they did in South Korea :
