I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the
Assistant Director of Judicial and Community Affairs
. I am very excited to take on this role as it allows me to play a more integral part in our student’s acclimation to ASMS as well as to build rapport with them throughout their career at ASMS. Since I am not new to the ASMS community, I already have a sense of pride for the great opportunities the school provides to families.
Initially, I started as a Personal Counselor where I was able to utilize my formal education and skillset in building and maintaining trusting relationships with those students needing an extra layer of support. This position allowed me to see students thrive, feel empowered, and excel due to having a great support system.
Next, I took on the role of Academic Counselor where I worked closer with students in learning their expectations and goals for choosing ASMS. In addition, I worked with students while preparing their schedules to ensure they met graduation requirements. These two positions have allowed me to see both sides of student life at ASMS.
My new role is considered a blending of my former roles. I am passionate about youth and their ability to maneuver through life in a community style mindset. As a member of the ASMS community, I hope to model as well as guide our students to good citizenship. In closing, I feel most fortunate to have this opportunity to help shape our future leaders and continue to make a difference in student’s lives!
