Teams come in different shapes & sizes and we worked diligently with a variety of Metro MLS brokers, agents, and support staff that currently operate with teams in the marketplace. These focus groups helped us create a new "Team Login" member type that will help facilitate better functionality for a diverse group of teams including some of the examples below.

WHAT IS IT?
You Asked, we listened. In an effort to better serve Metro MLS members, we have implemented a Team functionality within MLS. Now, a Team login can be assigned to the members operating as a team. This feature grants members of a team access to the team listings using their own unique login and password.
This new functionality also:

  • Eliminates user login & password sharing. All add/ edits are recorded in the history of the listing reflecting the unique team member that made the change to a team listing.

  • Includes a team lead contact, as well as a team member name, phone and/or email for listing contact information.

  • Creates transparency in the marketplace by more easily identifying teams, their licensed members and the work they do together.

  • More accurately records team productions for reporting and statistical purposes with ease for the team as a whole.

WHO IS IT FOR?
  • Any group or team that advertises publicly they are a team.

  • Multiple individuals that wish to continue to operate as a single identity (including for stats).

  • Agents entering listings and/or closings under a team leader or with a team member in MLS.

  • A group of 2 or more agents working as a whole and/or advertising themselves as a group or team.

  • Any group of Metro MLS members that want to be recognized by Metro MLS as a team.

IS IT MANDATORY?
No. Team Login is not a mandatory membership type. However, the only way for a team (group, collective, etc.) to be recognized as a team is by registering the team with Metro MLS. Registered Teams can add/edit/change listings for a team or as an individual agent. Unregistered teams cannot add/edit/ or change listings under a team lead or with using a shared login and password. In order to get the full benefit of production numbers and reporting including stats, a team must be registered with Metro MLS.

  • To track team statistics

  • To improve change/edit functionality within a team

  • To stop username & password sharing

  • To identify teams within the MLS more effectively.
