A Note from the DEI Office
|
Congratulations as you wrap up the semester (you've got this!) and to all of our graduates!
In reflecting on the semester, I am conscious of the many challenges we've faced, but also our resilience in coming together across differences to support each other. I am especially thankful for opportunities this month to uplift and celebrate spaces for healing and joy – from gathering together around the I'mwIthyou Rainbow Parachute, to celebrating the DEI Impact Awardees and their incredible contributions in our community.
In the School of Social Work, we are continually building tools to advocate and struggle for a socially just future we know is possible. As we move into our next semester, the world beyond, and a new year, how will we continue to advocate for and protect the presence of difference, equitable opportunities, and inclusiveness where all are welcomed and valued – and how will we do this work in collaboration and community?
