Update from the Rector Search Committee
|
Our Rector Search process is continuing to progress forward. The Search Committee has spent a considerable amount of time gathering information about the various applicants and interviewing a number of candidates. The Vestry has recently scheduled additional interviews with one of those candidates for late May. The Vestry will continue its interviews until it is convinced that it has found the right leader for our Parish. Please continue to pray that God will bless the work of the Search Committee and Vestry and that God will make His call to lead St. John’s clear to our next Rector. We are excited about the upcoming interviews and the other options available to us.

Evening Prayer Help Wanted
|
We are now expanding Evening Prayer to include lay leaders. Evening Prayer is not an office that requires a member of the clergy and so represents a wonderful opportunity to expand lay participation in the spiritual life of the church. This will also give your clergy some needed sabbath.
The requirements are not difficult. The time commitment is about 20 minutes at 4:00 p.m. one day a week for an agreed upon number of weeks. There is a little setup and training that Fr. Cannon will provide. Evening Prayer happens on Facebook, so a Facebook account is required. If you are called to participate, please contact Fr. Cannon.
