For outlandish creatures like us, on our way to a heart, a brain, and courage, Bethlehem is not the end of our journey but only the beginning - not home but the place through which we must pass if ever we are to reach home at last.

Intentions for the Season

Live with intention.
Walk to the edge.
Listen Hard.
Practice wellness.
Play with abandon.
Laugh.
Choose with no regret.
Appreciate your friends.
Continue to learn.
Do what you love.
Live as if this is all there is.
 -Mary Anne Radmacher

I've re-joined my Advent photo group. It's filled with close friends from across the miles, people with whom I've been engaging in this practice of pausing, noticing what matters, of offering care to each other over many years. We have set intentions for this season of preparation.

Our UUFD staff has also set their intentions. Will you set an intention?
Will you consider finding a tool to pause and love each day? My friend and colleague Michelle Favreault suggests, " Give yourself a break to breathe in and focus on one small thing, one gesture, one action, one metaphor, one blessing.

There is so much beauty around us. Let us take in this grace so that we may be a gift to a world that needs us.

How might my (spiritual) intention for the season of waiting be a gift?

Guest at Your Table
Keep adding to your box, and place it under the UUFD tree on your last Sunday at worship of the season. PLEASE write your name on the side so you can become a member of the UUSC.

Come Sunday

We're fortunate to have Dick White fill our pulpit this Sunday, preaching about science and deep mystery.

I will be with you, too, joining the children as they choose gifts for family at our Holiday Market. FUN!
ALWAYS in the love,              Rev. Katie
