Do you remember what is was like trying to figure out what you wanted to be when you grew up? It can be a confusing journey! We're looking for businesses to participate in
JA Inspire, an interactive career exploration day that helps today's youth get a clearer understanding of potential career opportunities.

Special Anniversary Brew to be Featured at JA World Uncorked

Volunteer Spotlight - Bob Alden 

Junior Achievement of South Florida is fortunate to have so many dedicated volunteers like Bob Alden! 

"My entire life has been about volunteering and philanthropy. JA gives me an opportunity to talk about the importance of financial literacy, which is not generally taught to today's youth in our schools. It fills a critical need." - Bob said.

Community Foundation of Broward Invests in JA Career Bound

Thirty-five local students are currently participating in the 3rd Annual  JA Career Bound  program, a cutting-edge, essential skills building program designed to fill the skills gap to better prepare high school students for success on the job.

Upon completion of the program, students are eligible for paid summer employment opportunities. Thanks to Community Foundation of Broward, a Youth Employment Manager has been hired to secure employment for the  program youth to engage in during the school year and 2019 summer break.

Moving Up in the JA World!

We are happy to announce that Deanna Leshner has been promoted to the position of Classroom Programs Manager! Deanna has 13 years of experience in the classroom working as an elementary school teacher in Miami-Dade Public Schools. In her new role at JA, Deanna will coordinate classroom programs for elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as after school programs.
