Cedar Hills/U.S. Hwy 26 project result of public/private partnership
A multijursidictional construction project at the Cedar Hills Boulevard/U.S. 26 intersection started Nov. 26, thanks to a public-private collaboration with Washington County, Oregon Department of Transportation, city of Beaverton and J. Peterkort and Company.
"This project will include a new signal at the foot of the Hwy 26 eastbound exit ramp and Cedar Hills Boulevard," said Renus Kelkfens, project manager. "Currently it's very difficult to make a left turn off of this exit. A signal will make a big difference."
Other intersection improvements include widening the eastbound ramp to three lanes, sidewalks and crosswalks on the west side of Cedar Hills Boulevard and new street lighting.
