  • The CDPHE website updates cases daily at 4 p.m. To ensure rapid response to new cases, Broomfield staff monitors the reporting systems throughout the day, so occasionally our numbers may differ from CDPHE.

  • 1,417 hospitalized (+105 from 4/10) 
  • 56 counties (no change)
  • 37,153 people tested (+4,500 from 4/10)
  • 290 deaths (+40 from 4/10)

  • Does wearing a face covering/mask protect me from getting COVID-19?
  • The short answer is no. Face coverings are meant to protect those around you in case you unknowingly have the virus. Watch this short video from Governor Polis on face coverings and social distancing.
  • What are some things that I can do today about my mental wellness?
Here are some tips from our colleagues at Mental Health Partners :
  • Take deep breaths, stretch, or meditate.
  • Allowing for alone time will support feeling recharged and less overwhelmed.
  • Stay in touch with friends and family members.
  • Consistency and predictability are key to managing anxiety. Create a schedule that works for you and your family.
  • If you are home with kids:
  • Talk to your children about COVID-19 in an age appropriate manner. Let them express how they are feeling.
  • Continue some level of learning-at-home so kids can continue to challenge themselves and discover new things.
  • Try to enjoy extra quality time with them and this unique situation.
Upcoming Events:

On Tuesday, April 14, there is a Special Meeting of the City Council. This meeting will be presented live on the City Council website Broomfield.org/CityCouncil and through your local television, on Channel 8. Public participation via telephone will open at approximately 6 p.m. by calling 1.855.695.3744. Written comments are requested to be sent in advance, to council@broomfieldcitycouncil.org . Telephone Town Hall: Join the next Telephone Town Hall each Thursday at 7 p.m. Residents can call 855.695.3744 the night of, or sign up to be called directly . RSVP and share the Facebook event for updates as well. Town Hall audio is now streamed live on Channel 8 as well.   • For All Residents: 
  • Apply now for the Bridge-The-Gap program which provides housing payment assistance to Broomfield residents that have lost wages due to the impact of COVID-19. See eligibility criteria, learn more and apply online at Broomfield.org/BridgeTheGap
  • 2-1-1 Is now set up to offer COVID-19 specific services and resources available across the state. Visit 211colorado.org/covid-19, dial 2-1-1 or 866.720.6489, text 898.211* or chat live with a representative through the website.
  • Visit the Resources page on BroomfieldHealth.org for a constantly updated list of resources, support and information.
  • Read Colorado Tenant’s Guide to COVID-19.
  • Use NextDoor’s Neighborhood Help Map to find neighbors in your area that are able to help in a variety of ways, such as phone check-ins, pet care and more. Follow all safety guidelines and requirements while getting helping or providing help to neighbors. 
  • For Businesses: 
  • Visit Broomfield.org/COVIDEconomicSupport for information and links to help businesses and employees sustain through this downturn and support the rebuilding of our local economy. 
  • For Employers: Updated information about the U.S. SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program and the Emergency Injury Disaster Loans. Your business lending partners are now taking applications for both loan programs.
  • For Employees: A direct link to file for the expanded Unemployment Insurance programs and benefits and information on other programs, such as Bridging the Gap.
  • For Residents to Support Businesses: Information about local businesses serving our community, with adjusted service and hours. 
  • Businesses can apply for the Enhance Broomfield program, which offers a one-time grant of up to $7,500 which can be used for operating expenses including rent, wages, marketing, utilities, and supplies. The application is also a good step forward in filling out an application for a U.S. SBA loan if a business decided to do so.
  • Support Resources for Colorado Businesses During COVID-19 is a resource site hosted by the Colorado Office of Economic Development.
How you can help
  • Donate Blood: There is an urgent need for blood donations. Visit Vitalant.org or call 303.363.2300 for scheduling or questions.
  • Donate Money:
  • Donate to the Disaster Relief fund through the Broomfield Community Foundation.
  • There is an immediate need for ”stay-at-home” alternatives for unhoused neighbors living in Broomfield. The Towneplace Suites has offered a special rate but additional funding is needed. Donate to the Emergency Sheltering fund through the Broomfield Community Foundation so folks have a place to stay until the end of April. 
  • Donate Food: FISH is asking the community to help fill a critical need for cereal. They have placed donation boxes at area King Soopers and are grateful for any help as they face an unprecedented need.
  • Donate Items:

  • Be a Broomfield Sewing Superhero - Help Every Resident Get A Mask

  • Volunteer:
  • The Broomfield VOAD is encouraging healthy volunteers to assist FISH at their facility. Sign-up to volunteer at FISH.
  • Are you a medical professional? Sign up to volunteer.
  • Governor Jared Polis created the Colorado Covid-19 Innovation Response Team to introduce telehealth/telemedicine service supporting approximately 800,000 uninsured and under-served Coloradans. Help the team provide health services while reducing strain on healthcare facilities, leaving hospital beds open to the most severely ill.
  • Use NextDoor’s Neighborhood Help Map to list things you are able and willing to do for neighbors in your area, such as phone check-ins, pet care and more. Follow all safety guidelines and requirements while helping or providing help to neighbors.
