On Veterans Day, we celebrate all those who have protected the freedoms of our nation by serving in the Armed Forces. This year, we asked several members of the SCA community why they chose to serve and what being a member of the Armed Forces meant to them.

Senior Start to the Holiday Season
The Class of 2019 kicked off the holiday season, and their march to graduation, with brunch at American Turners Club.


Cans for Thanksgiving

The SCA community collected  5272 cans for Thanksgiving! It took three  trips to the Mercy Center, South Bronx, and two  trips to Our Lady of Assumption Food Pantry to share all the food for feasts around the city.

New Family Association Launches
 
St. Catharine Academy  Family  Association would like to invite you to join our group. If you are a parent or guardian of a current SCA student please join us on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. for our first official meeting.  

The SCA Family Association will work to:

  • Support and grow our sense of community in a diverse school and community population.
     
  • Create both a fun and meaningful model in participating in the scholastic, spiritual, athletic and all other extracurricular activities of our daughters.
     
  • Become role models for our daughters by example.
     
  • Support the special needs of our daughters through volunteering our time and talents and by sponsoring fundraising to continue The Sisters of Mercy CORE values of building excellence through service.
     
  • Our success is the direct result of the administration, faculty, staff and parents working together.
