The Library Is Still Here For You!
The Main Library building and automated book drop at 530 Washington Street are closed until September. While the new roof and interior renovation occur, library services and programs continue! Express browsing, holds pick up and reference assistance are available at the Hills Branch, Fells Branch, and the Temporary Main location. 
June is Pride Month!!!
Celebrate Pride Month with a Virtual Author Visit! Join authors Kendra and Claire-Voe Ocampo in their interactive read-aloud of their book Mighty May Won’t Cry Today, a book with themes of crying, diversity, and emotional resilience. The read-aloud will be followed by a live Q&A with the authors and techniques like mindful breathing to engage in emotional skills. Register below with email for the Zoom link to the event.
Bake a delicious rainbow cake together with your children! Kids can do most of the work using a boxed cake mix. Yummy!
Boston Children's Museum Passes - Extended Through June!
Visit the Boston Children's Museum in the month of June on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday with a special discount using a WFL museum pass! Join Sheryl White of BabyKneads in virtual space to learn baby sign language! Four Thursdays in June: 6/3, 6/10, 6/17, 6/24 from 11:00-11:45. This four-session class is appropriate for babies and young children 6-months through pre-verbal. Please 'bring' your baby to class! Every Friday at 10:30am from June 4 to August 27, 2021. A is for Alphabet Adventures! Each week, we will explore two letters of the alphabet and promote early literacy development through stories, songs, and more. Optional weekly activity sheets will be available to print at home or pick up at the Hills and Fells Branch Libraries. Recommended for ages 2-5. Join a WFL Children's Librarian for a brief presentation on summer reading and summer offerings. Learn about Beanstack, summer storytimes, and a few of the great virtual programs we'll be offering this summer. The Wellesley Health Department invites you to an evening with Families for Depression Awareness to learn how to recognize depression in teens, when and where to go for help, and how to provide support throughout a pandemic. The program will run for 60-minutes and the remaining time will be available for participants to ask questions and receive answers from a licensed mental health clinician.

Join Ms. Eva over Zoom for some rip-roaring reading fun - the 4th-7th Grade Book Club! 4th - 7th graders in the area will gather to discuss favorite characters, fascinating themes, and just chat together about some good books. This month's book is Framed by James Ponti available online via Hoopla here. Hard copies are available for pick-up at Fells Branch Library.
NEW!! In-Person Family Programs in June
Join us in person every Wednesday this summer in the Fells Branch garden for an all-ages storytime. Listen to stories and sing songs in our fenced-in garden space. Bring a towel or blanket for softer seating. No Registration Required. In case of inclement weather, storytime will be canceled.
