As we prepare for holiday celebrations, we often take it for granted that we will be surrounded by the love of our families.
But for the n
early 108,000 eligible foster children (25,000 in New York State) waiting to be adopted, there are no forever families.
They need to hear messages of hope. They need to hear "Yes, you're worth it," and "You are my family. No one will ever take you away."
On October 31, the Henry family spoke those words to Shane and Mariana, who spent 1,286 days--three and a half years--in foster care. They never have to worry
again about being loved and cared for in a forever family.
