UNICOM Global, an international technology firm based in Los Angeles, this week concluded the purchase of the 1100 acre former Merck property in Readington, for use as its Regional Headquarters, and Hunterdon County’s Freeholder Board moved quickly to assure the new company that the County is supportive of their investment in Hunterdon County.
Freeholder Director Matt Holt stated, “This is a banner day for economic development in Hunterdon County. Having an international company invest in the County sends a strong message about our viability. We join Readington in welcoming the newly named UNICOM Science and Technology Park.”
Freeholder Board Deputy Director Suzanne Lagay, the Board’s liaison for Economic Development, said, “This company fits exactly into the County’s goal of attracting technology and innovation initiatives to our area.”
