The art of Teri Canelle on exhibit
|
The Rowley Public Library is currently hosting the landscapes of Teri Canelle. She is most passionate about painting in the tonalist style, where paint is applied in layers of dark tones, muted hues and touches of light to create atmospheric, luminous effects. A native of western Pennsylvania, Teri Canelle has lived most of her adult life in coastal New England and currently lives in Byfield, Massachusetts. She is affiliated with Cleo Gallery in Kemare, Ireland, Eventide Gallery in Essex, and Somerset Interiors in Hamilton, and is a member of the Rockport Art Association. Rowley Book Club to meet Thursday, January 3, at 6:30 p.m.
|
Join the Rowley Library Book Club for a discussion of The Turner House by Angela Flournoy. The Turners have lived on Yarrow Street for over 50 years, through children and grandchildren, births and deaths, and the decline of their city. Now that their aging matriarch can no longer live on her own, this complicated extended family is gathering to decide what is best to do with a house worth less than the mortgage and a past that haunts, and shapes, their futures. Ah, siblings!
Reserve your copy by
clicking here, or pick one up at the library, then join us on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the book. Future titles can be viewed on our
web site.
