Message from the Minister
Dear Spiritual Community,
We are now entering that magical time of the year, Christmas! This past Sunday our center got all decked out in decorations thanks to some willing volunteers. From now until Christmas Eve we will be singing Christmas carols during the services, lighting the Advent wreath, and considering how we can each participate in this season of peace on earth, and goodwill toward all.
Christmas can also be a challenging time for many, especially those who are shut-in or have mobility issues. I am discovering that there is a part of our congregation I have yet to meet - those who are in this category. I would like to get to know you and extend an invitation to contact me to set up a time so that I can come to your home and meet you. You are an important part of our spiritual community, and I want to connect with you in a personal way. My contact info is below.
This year our Christmas Eve Candlelighting service will be held at 6:30 p.m. The service will include a metaphysical interpretation of the Christmas story. We will need narrators(4) and candlelighters (12) from the congregation - sign-up is in the foyer.
Donna and I are looking forward to our first Christmas in the Upper Midwest. I imagine that chances are good that we'll have a white Christmas. That would be awesome!
Merry Christmas!
