This Week
IPP and FTV designations - Deadline This Friday
The next deadline for parents to switch their students from full-time virtual (FTV) to in-person population (IPP) is September 18. Parents who desire to switch from FTV to IPP must submit this form by 9 a.m. on September 18. The student would then begin attending school as an IPP student on September 21. Parents who want to switch their student from IPP to FTV learning prior to September 18 must send an email stating their requested change to schoolchoice@spx.org. Parents will be notified once the request has been approved, at which time the student will transition to FTV. Once families opt into FTV, students are required to continue learning virtually for a minimum of two weeks.
Faith Challenge for Families this September!
Campus Ministry is inviting our St. Pius X families to a faith challenge for the month of September. This weekly initiative is inviting parents and their children to engage one another in faith discussions that can lead to deeper family unity, self-knowledge, quality time, and stronger faith. Each weekly initiative involves reading Scripture, growing in and praying for particular virtues, learning about the lives of the saints, and asking "dinner table" questions for fruitful discussions. Click here for this week's handout. If you have any questions, please reach out to Fr. Rey Pineda or Mrs. Abby Bettencourt.
Mothers' Prayer Group Wednesday at 8:00 a.m.
The next Mothers' Club Prayer Group is scheduled for Wednesday September 16 with a zoom call at 8:00 a.m.
Please note the change of time.  With all students being virtual that day, we thought it would be best to start a little early and try to be finished by the time students need to log on for class.  Each month, we will read the intentions of our students and then offer a rosary for all the intentions as well as the SPX community.  Please consider joining us for this special prayer time.  Upcoming dates for the prayer group:  October 21, November 18, December 9, January 20, February 24, March 17, April 21 and May 12.  If you are a member of the Mothers' Club, you will receive an email with the link for the call.  For more information or to receive the zoom link, feel free to contact Jill Pierce or Beth Jones.
New Parent Coffee Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
New and Freshmen Parents are invited to attend a coffee hosted by the Home & School Association this Wednesday and on each of the remaining Wednesdays in September.

Join us on September 16, 23, or 30 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the St. Pius X Cafeteria to meet other new parents and hear from the administrative team!

New Information
Virtual Career Day 2020
Career Day 2020 is going virtual for all grades! In 2020 fashion, our career day will be different but the new format will allow us to have participation from alumni, family, and friends worldwide and all grades will have unlimited access to all the career videos. We are looking for a variety of speakers to submit a video presentation. Click here for more information and the interest form.
Virtual Grandparents' Day - Nov 13, 2020
We will celebrate our Grandparents this year virtually on November 13, 2020.  Please note due to fire code regulations and parking restrictions this event is usually reserved for Freshmen and Seniors only. This year we are opening it up to all four classes since it will be virtual and will be sending invitations to all grandparents.  To ensure your student's grandparents are included you may complete the attached form if you would like your student's grandparents to be invited to our Virtual Grandparents' Day.  If you registered the grandparents during annual registration or have previously completed this form, no action is needed.  Please contact Catherine Rice if you would like to help.
