Corbin Studio & Gallery (former Corbin Library) 4 E Main St
The Crisfield Arts & Entertainment District Project presents this Student 3-D Art Class funded by a grant through the Maryland State Arts Council's Creativity Grant program. To discover more about MSAC and how they impact Maryland, visit

The class is taught by Debra Howard, an award winning artist who has been juried into Plein Air competitions all over the country. Students must be in 4th through 7 th grades. The class fee is $10 and includes lunch and art supplies to take home. Scholarships are available. More information

Dave Marshall is the artist behind Somers Cove Art. He was born on Maryland's Eastern Shore in Crisfield, a town built on oyster shells. Known as The Seafood Capital of the World, the scenery and the way of life are the inspiration for his art. Workboats, marshes, and wildlife abound and the sunsets are spectacular.

July 1, 2019 is the first anniversary of the State designation for the Crisfield Arts & Entertainment District. Join us for a celebration, and an auction of the business-sponsored and artist painted rocking chairs. The party starts at 4 pm with chairs auctioned at 5:30. Free and open to the community.
Charlie “Mac” McClenahan was a former mayor of Crisfield, state delegate, founding member of the Crisfield Chamber of Commerce and the Somers Cove Yacht Club. We are hosting a celebration featuring Front Page News, vendors and food!

Earlier in the day, DJ Adam Dutch will be setting the Old School vibe on stage and Hurricane Hazel will be providing crab-picking demos during the feast portion.

Mr. Colasurdo, the author of 11 books, is known as a dynamic performer..He will read selections from his varied works- including from his classic "Angel City Taxi".
The event is free Light refreshments will be served and Mr. Colasurdo's books will be available to purchase..The author will gladly sign.

“The Waterman’s Daughter” focuses on the life of an unconventional and original woman named Lilyan Stratton Corbin, an author, actress, and philanthropist who grew up in Crisfield, MD, during the Chesapeake Bay Oyster boom in the late 1800s.
This one-woman show follows Lilyan’s life story from when she ran away from home in 1898 at age 16 to her success on stage and screen; from her marriage to the silent film star Frank Campeau to her books Reno, Homing, The Wife’s Lessons, and The Feminine Philosophy.
The Corbin Studio & Gallery is the former Corbin Library and is home to Lilyan Stratton Corbin's cremains The building has a rich history as the only library-mausoleum in existence.

Betty Tyler who owns Bay Side Gifts is looking to purchase items to sell in her gift shop on Smith Island.
She's looking for decoys, paintings all mediums, prints, carvings, fiber art. Basically any and all handcrafted item's that are bay and coastal related.
The Crisfield branch of the Somerset County Library, located at 100 Collins Street, hosts so many events that celebrate creativity that we can't list them all here!
