Parent Commitment Cycle 6
Every six weeks, the HISD allows families to change their learning preference for the upcoming grading cycle. If you plan to stay with your current learning setting, then you do NOT need to do anything else at this time.

If you would like to change your learning setting for Cycle 6 (May 3 - June 11), then please complete this short form. We appreciate your attentiveness to this task as it enables us to plan for the successful return of any students to campus.

Again, the decision you made for Cycle 5 remains in place for this school year unless you communicate to us a change in your learning preference.
Title 1 Parent Involvement Survey
The purpose of this survey is to obtain parents’, guardians’, and adult family members’ perceptions about how well schools are involving them in the educational activities related to their children.  To complete this effort, we need your assistance to notify parents and guardians about the survey. According to P.L. 114-95, Section 1116(a)(2)(D), school districts are required to conduct an annual survey to evaluate parent and family engagement efforts related to Title I funding.

Safety Procedures During Testing:
  • Students' temperatures will be checked upon entering the school. Any student with a fever will not be able to test.
  • All faculty and students will wear their masks properly, at all times.
  • Students will sit 6 feet apart from each other.
  • There will be no more than 12 students assigned to a classroom.
  • Only the students that are taking the STAAR exam will be on campus.

Check our Testing Webpage for answers to all of your testing questions. If you have any questions regarding testing, please email Ms. Mulet.
Attention Algebra I students and their parents:
It is important to have practice with a TI-84 Plus calculator for the STAAR Algebra I EOC exam. On test day, you will have a TI-84 Plus calculator provided for your use. If you have not purchased a TI-84 Plus calculator, you have several options so that you can practice prior to the STAAR test.

You can install a software emulator on your smartphone. Wabbitemu is free in Google Play, and Calculate84 is free in the Apple app store.

You can also make an appointment with the Bellaire high school technology department to have the WabbitEmu software installed on your school laptop. The appointment will take 15-30 minutes.

Click here to book your appointment.
AP Testing
Students taking AP tests are asked to fill out this form to make an appointment with the technology department to swap out their laptop.

They will scan a new laptop out to the student, log in ahead of their arrival and install the App for them and test it out. This will help speed up the process.

Students will not get the same laptop back. They should back up any files and tell us if they need any software added back on (Adobe, Audacity, etc…)
