Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity is the fund raising, funding and support organization for the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation was created at the behest of the U. S. Marine Corps and provides support in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, who directs the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation has supported Toys for Tots since 1991.The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
The History of the Toys for Tots Foundation:
Since 1775 the Marine Corps has defended freedom and democracy - A duty they have fulfilled with honor, courage, and commitment. As they have fulfilled that duty, Marines have earned a well deserved reputation for toughness.
However, there is another side to the Marine Corps - The side that springs from a genuine concern for the communities in which they live, and a deep compassion for the under- privileged children of America. That's the side that exemplifies the spirit of the Marine Corps. That side is found in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.
In 1947, a group of Marines recognized that there were children in the community could benefit from the generosity of local citizens. The Marines Toys for Tots program was established then and has been going strong ever since. The Marines took this mission into their hands and have given all of their efforts for many years. The purpose of this program is to send a message of hope to the children of the community.

Beat the Traffic at the Front Gate:
|
|
Attention Ocean Reef Community:
Members are returning to Ocean Reef and "In season hours" have begun. We're working hard to make sure that your entry to Ocean Reef's Front Gate each morning is convenient, relaxed and less congested. Contractors hours of operation for entry is at 8:00 am and this has caused considerable amount of traffic congestion at times. Therefore, we are offering your company's Administrative Staff (only), an option to enter the property earlier to and leave later during our "in season hours".
Ocean Reef Public Safety's Access Control is pleased to announce new hours of entry for your company's administrative staff, effective November 1, 2018, to help mitigate congestion and allow better traffic flow at the Front Gate. Those hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The change, which includes a later work day, will reduce the amount of traffic on Card Sound Road and at the Front Gate, possibly eliminating future accidents for all employees.
In order to make this happen, the following requirements and rule adherence is necessary:
Once a Company has early accessed no outside work is allowed. Noisy pollutant will not be tolerated during early access because we must stay in compliance with ORCA's Rules and Regulations. What categorizes an employee to be an Administrative Staff? An Administrative Staff employee is a person that performs clerical duties. Meaning they can only go to their office for daily planning, preparations and office setup. There cannot be any outside work or noise during these early hours. Please provide us a list of Administrative Staff employee's that fit the criteria by completing the appropriate form. Please reach out to me if you have any additional questions.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Sergeant Devorn Harris
Access Control Manager
