From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal
Dear Parents,
Thank you to all who were able to donate food items to the House of Peace food drive. The families are very grateful for our generosity.
Today we had a speaker from the Waukesha Women's Center speaking to us about the Holiday Gift-Giving Drive that we will be participating in this year. This project will replace Operation Christmas Child. Students were sent home with the Center's holiday wish list and one is also included in today's newsletter. Since many of us start shopping this weekend we thought it would be good to get the lists out early. Please ignore the instructions on the sheet, and send the gifts to school by Fri
day, November 30th,
so we can deliver them to the Women's Center.
Also, this year instead of ornaments on our tree in the main lobby, we will be decorating it with
hats and mittens that will be donated
to St. Hyacinth's clothing shelter before Christmas. We truly appreciate any and all donations your family is able to give.
Finally, please note we will not have a newsletter next week.
A Blessed Thanksgiving to all!
Mrs. Ellen Knippel

Have Snow Gear for Little Kids?
If you are purging old (size small) winter hats, snow pants, and gloves or mittens, would you mind sending them to school? We need them in the kindergarten rooms for spares if theirs are lost, forgotten, or too wet to wear twice in one day. Thank you!
Snow Gear, Now until Spring Thaw
Students should be bringing gloves, hats,
snow pants, winter coat and boots to school (fabric bag works best). Students are encouraged, but not required, to leave snow bags at school during the week to be sent home on Fridays. Once winter (snow) is in full swing, students must wear boots to/from school. P.E. shoes may be worn inside the building. You do not need to send in other shoes.
Out of Uniform for Surveys, Nov. 20th
Thank you to everyone who returned surveys! We had a terrific response!
Teachers will have a list of everyone who is eligible to have an Out-of-Uniform Day tomorrow. Individual passes will not be sent home. If you are unsure if your child is eligible, please contact the office.
Again, thank you! We truly benefit from your feedback!
Signed Report Card Envelopes
Report cards came home on Nov. 9th.
If you haven't returned the signed (and empty) envelope yet, now is the time!

Prayers, Celebrations, & Gratitude
|
Prayers
Pray for the poor, the neglected, the homeless and the destitute this Thanksgiving week. Pray for the old and the sick, and all who have no one to care for them.
Celebrate!
Stephanie and Adam Karl are very happy to introduce the latest addition to their family. Morgan Elizabeth was born Friday, Nov. 9th at 1:34pm, 6 lb 4 oz, 19.5 inches long. Harrison (Gr 1) and Audrey (3K) are thrilled to have a new little sister and are all adjusting very well.
Catholic Memorial High School is the State Champ! Some of our alumni helped pull off the 37-24 victory after a 0-24 deficit in the third quarter. What an amazing comeback! Congrats former Mustangs! |
