Message from the Principal

Words cannot begin to express our sincere gratitude for all of the many ways Ms. Morales and I were “appreciated” yesterday. From the heartfelt gifts, to the delicious lunch and dinner provided, to the yummy treats and sweet messages from the students all day long, we truly felt spoiled! A special thank you is extended to the Home and School Chairs and Teachers who helped with the planning “behind the scenes;” the effort did not go unnoticed! We consider it a blessing to spend our days serving in this special community and thank God for the gift of your children. They fill our hearts with joy and we are blessed by them each and every day!

Principals' Appreciation Day
Happy Principals' Day to our beloved Ms. Rotz and Ms. Morales! After the school liturgy on Wednesday, the student body, faculty, and parents were delighted to celebrate our principal and assistant principal. These two hard working ladies lead St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School both academically and in our journey of faith. Ms. Rotz and Ms. Morales model the Master Teacher, Jesus Christ, every single school day, from the moment our school opens until our gates close. Thank you for your leadership and for your daily smiles!
Peace Orphanage
For the past few years, St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School has been partnering with this ministry to help support the girls and boys in the Friends of the Peace Orphanage in Mexico City. We have helped with funding toward tuition for several students and provided uniforms, school supplies and basic technology for all of the children. With your help and support, we have been able to make a difference in the lives of the many children cared for at the Peace Orphanage. We offer continued prayers for the children as well as the Benedictine Sisters who care for them. More information about the Peace Orphanage can be found in the current “Ripples” newsletter.

Kindergarten News
On a cold November morning, Kinder Hoots were learning about their five senses. They spied bean leaf roller (tent) caterpillars munching the beans in their garden. They picked them off the leaves and helped save the garden from pests. Their five senses helped them explore the outside world, filled with many beautiful creations from God.

Lunch and Recess Volunteer Opportunity
Parents, please take advantage of the beautiful fall weather we’re blessed with in Florida and join us during lunch and recess. We truly appreciate any time you can give us, on any given day. The safety of our students is always our top priority and having enough parent volunteers during recess is necessary. Please click on the link below to volunteer.

All families are required to volunteer at least 5 hours in the lunchroom or recess. Volunteers should have cleared fingerprints and completed safe environment training. If you have any questions, please contact  Nancy Thomas
