TariffTariff and Trade Wars Messaging
To Show Attendees Not Permitted
The Toronto International Boat Show will not be addressing the steel & aluminum tariffs, nor the retaliatory boat tariffs, in any marketing or communications to consumers.

We will continue to focus the show's messaging on promoting the boating lifestyle, affordability, getting out on the water, new products, retail, best deals of the year, plus show features and education.

We ask all exhibitors to refrain from posting any banners or signage in their spaces which includes language such as "beat the tariff pricing" or "pre-tariff pricing" or words similar in nature. Any signage with tariff messaging will be removed.

It is in the best interest of the entire industry that all communication to consumers focuses on encouraging sales and a positive retail environment.

We thank all exhibitors for their co-operation.

ScamsBEWARE OF List & Data Sellers
Toronto Boat Show exhibitors have once again been receiving emails from companies offering to sell data and contact information relating to the shows and attendees.

We provide NO data to these companies, and strongly advise that you ignore any communications received.

Exhibitors are also being contacted by companies "appearing" to represent the Toronto Boat Show while soliciting hotel reservations or exhibitor listing information when, in fact, they are in no way associated with the boat show.

Be reminded:
  • The Sheraton Centre, Westin Harbour Castle, Chelsea Hotel and Hotel X are our partner boat show hotels and will not be contacting you directly.
  • Exhibitor listings in the official Toronto Boat Show Guide are FREE and Wendy McCarroll,or Tracy Williams are the only boat show staff that will be in contact with you about these forms.
  • Advertisement opportunities in the official Boat Show guide - contact is Judy Richardson.
