Explore Explore is the latest documentary production by Maciej Ligowski - Executive Producer of Dream To Fly - continuing the trend of bringing visual excellence under the dome to enhance the immersive experience of the public.  The story centers around the motive of human travel to Mars, but the show presents and explains much broader selection of science including history of astronomy, geocentric and heliocentric models, plus Kepler laws of planetary motion or orbital maneuvers. Explore takes us on an imaginary journey. Astronauts leave Earth, execute two Hohmann-transfer maneuvers, and dock with a space station. Then they are off to Mars. In several beautiful scenes, the show demonstrates how spacecraft follow Kepler's laws in stately maneuvers as they make their way from Earth to orbit and then on to other worlds.

Running Time: 25 minutes

The IAIA Digital Dome is a unique asset of IAIA, being the world's only fully articulating dome. It rotates from 0° to 90°, and can be positioned at the ceiling or floor, offering multiple viewing experiences. The space offers a combination of black box, planetarium, interactive performance space, Digital Full Dome, and an immersive laboratory -- with five WQXGA (2560x1600 Resolution) projectors that deliver a 4k dome projection and a spatialized ambisonic 24.4 professional Genelec immersive sound system. The Dome is a space for new applications of creative expression, scientific and technical exploration, film, and the merging of art and technology.

Jacques Paisner , Executive Director of the SFIFF, commented: "This is an exciting way to expand our ongoing partnership with IAIA. Creativity in the motion picture arts is paramount at the SFIFF, and remaining on the cutting-edge of the medium with the inclusion of IAIA's Digital Dome is a very natural progression for the festival."

Mats Reiniusson, Assistant Professor & Dome Manager observed: "This is a great new collaboration! It makes total sense that the IAIA Digital Dome should be part of the SFIFF - due to both organizations being located in Santa Fe. IAIA has a state-of-the-art immersive film theater, and immersive 360 film is the new upcoming format for film festivals on the frontline. SFIFF will now have immersive spherical film as part of their programming."
