Spectrumly Speaking
April 2020

We hope our E*newsletter finds you and your families all healthy and safe.  It is certainly a very scary and uncertain time we are experiencing and we know that you are each going through unique challenges as we adapt and transition to this new reality.  Our wish for you, is that you are able to find positive aspects to focus on; random acts of kindness, more quality time with immediate family, perhaps a respite from work and time to catch up on reading or small, home projects.

Whatever your are working through, we wish you the very best and please know that we are here to help in any way we can.

Happy Easter ... Happy Passover ... Although you may not be able to enjoy your typical celebrations this year, we want to wish you peace and contentment through the holidays and always.  Try to embrace technology if you can and Facetime, Houseparty or Zoom with family and friends to stay connected.

Please stay home, stay healthy, stay strong and stay in touch!

Best wishes,
Karen, Richard, Janet and Sheila
COVID-19 Economic Measures for Businesses and Individuals

There have been several funding announcements & relief programs released by the Federal and Provincial governments over the past two weeks and so many places to access this information.

We thought this concise piece may be helpful for employers and employees.
Attention RRIF Holders
If you are taking the minimum income payments from your RRIF but do not need these funds to get by, the Government is allowing you to reduce your payments by 25% until the end of 2020.

This will allow you to keep more dollars in your investment for future use.

Please get in touch with us if you wish to take advantage of this opportunity.

Ride Out Volatility with a
Systematic Approach

For those of you that are able to maintain your weekly or monthly contributions to your investment program, this provides discipline and the potential for better returns.

If you must stop your deposits during this uncertain, time, that is totally understandable.  Just be sure to start them up again as soon as your cash flow allows.

The Waiting is the Hardest Part

We wanted to share this great article from Guardian Capital that talks to the physiological and emotional responses to suspense and anticipation and how that relates to what we are currently living through.
