Contemplative Art
Adult Ed., Sunday, November 25, and Sunday, December 9,
10:30-11:15 am in the Sun Room
Experience Contemplative Art with Elaine Hild, Brianna Van Dyke, Judy Matthews and Laurie Gudim. We will discuss prayerful silence as the ground of contemplative creativity, have a little “how-to” introduction, check in with one another, then invite our creativity into a shared silence. Write, create art, and be in silence with everyone. We will have art supplies and writing materials available, but you can also bring your favorites – knitting, sewing, painting, or any other art form that you love - and, of course, your journal.

Thanksgiving "Dinner Kit" Drive for Homeward Alliance
:
This Sunday, November 18
, please help us at 8:30 am to move food from the narthex to the Fellowship Hall. At 10:15 am help us organize the food into separate grocery bags for 19 dinner kits. Then load bags into a vehicle for transport to the Murphy Center.
Tuesday, November 20, at the Murphy Center,
are there one or two people to unload bags of food from 3:30-4 pm, and/or, from 4-6 pm, help distribute the bags of food at the Murphy Center (along with turkeys from the Food Bank) and assist with carrying food bags and/or turkeys to recipients vehicles if they request help? Some of the families will be picking up their own food and some will be picked up by a member of their One Village One Family “village”. Sign up with

in Fort Collins. All the needed items can probably be found in the grocery store.

Voices Carry Child Advocacy Center
:
We are an inspiring example of a successful public/private partnership. In 1994, a community task force began meeting to find a better way to serve children involved in child abuse investigations and their families. It is our job, as adults, to shine light on the issue of child sexual abuse. When a child is brave enough to tell his or her truth here at the CAC, it is up to us to make sure that this small voice is heard. As we know, child sexual abuse thrives in secrecy, and Voices Carry signifies the courage necessary to speak up.

Sunday Morning Coffee Hour
St. Paul’s and Trinity parishioners have the opportunity to get to know each other a little better by sharing the coffee station and the food table on Sunday mornings in the Fellowship Hall. Coffee makers are on the west side of the Fellowship hall. Donuts and other snacks are on the tables in front of the white storage cabinets at the south end of the room. We will be using the compostable cups from Trinity - please place them in the blue trash can with the round hole in the lid.
Also - the St. Paul’s bulletin board, with current announcements and sign up sheets is now located in the northeast corner of the Fellowship Hall.

Rev. Foster is a member of About Face: Veterans Against War, and on the national steering committee of the Poor People’s Campaign.

Christmas Day Festive Lunch
St. Paul’s is organizing a Festive Lunch at noon on Christmas day after our Christmas Day service. Everyone is invited – whether you wish to come for a cup of eggnog and snacks or to eat a full meal. There will be a variety of Christmas and non-Christmas dishes, as well as gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. Please join us with your friends. In Search of Wholeness - An Exploration of Our Mystical Origins
The adult education program of Mary of Magdala will host 2 Advent soup suppers: Sunday, December 2 and Sunday, December 9 after Mass. Speaker Rick Klein will weave together the lives and teachings of four modern mystics to create a fabric upon which we can trace our unique spiritual paths within the common spiritual journey of all humanity. Our journey will glean insights from the Native American mystic Black Elk; contemplative and feminist mystic Beatrice Bruteau; Jewish mystic Etty Hillesum; and priest and environmental advocate Thomas Berry.
