4-H record books allow you to keep track of accomplishments for college applications, scholarships and awards.  They can also earn you prizes and money if they are selected as County or District Winners.

County Awards for 4-H Record Books will be given out at the 4-H Achievement Program on January 25th beginning at 6:30PM.

Please make sure that you have your 4-H Club Leader and your Parent/Helper sign your book.

Remember all ages are as of January 1, 2018.

Scholarships for Seniors -  There are several deadlines for these scholarship applications, the earliest being January 25th for the State 4-H Application. Check out this link for a list of applications and deadlines.  Many forms have not been updated and sent out yet, but will be added to this site as the updated ones become available.

Please keep checking back.  You may use the forms currently posted to go ahead and request your letters of recommendation and  transcripts from your school.  Some applications will ask for a letter of recommendation from both an academic and 4-H person.  Your 4-H Club leader is a good resource for this letter and a teacher at school.  Sometimes these take time to get and you don't want to cut the deadline too close or miss it all together.

Achievement Forms - If you would like to work on any of the Year End Achievement Forms, such as the 4-H'er of the Year, JB Coats Citizenship Award or other, we can do that as well.  Check out the  Activities Page for a list of applications.

Honor Club Applications - Have you started your 4-H Honor Club Application? Those are due to the 4-H Office January 25th. We will be glad to help you walk through applying, or proofread your finished product.  Check out the Activities Page  for the application.

If you would like to come and get help with record books or scholarship forms, please let Mrs. Lori know by phone @ 919-989-5380 or email [email protected] .
As you may have heard, all of North Carolina 4-H is moving to an online database system for enrollment.  We are now part of a group of 40+ states nation wide that have moved to this program, 4HOnline.

Normally we are in the process of re-enrollment at this time, however, because of this change, we will begin our re-enrollment process on January 1 and run through January 31st.  If you are already in the 4HOnline system at this time, there is nothing for you to do to reenroll until January 1.  The 4HOnline system is a zero-based system, which means that at midnight on December 31st it will go in and inactivate all of our 4-H Members who are in there.  But all of your information will still be there.

So, from now on, once you have entered this information initially, it will always be there and you just have to make any updates and redo the authorizations each year.

All Families who have not already done so, will need to go to this link:
https://nc.4honline.com/ and create a family profile.  You will enter only the Youth in your family who are enrolling/reenrolling in 4-H.

Only Volunteers who are registered with the County 4-H Office as Club Leaders or Volunteers need to put in their information as an Adult.  Parents are listed on the youth member's record.

If you have already created a Family Profile in the 2018 year, January 1-31, you will need to login and select the checkbox for your member to activate.  You will have to redo the authorizations, such as medical and media release and code of conduct.

New 4-H Families will also be enrolling through this process.  I can even give club leaders view only access to their club's enrollment data so you can have contact information.  There is a process for this, so club leaders will need to let me know if you want this access.

I am working on a video to assist you in this process visually, but in the meantime, here is a document that may help you get started.

If you have any questions, please contact me at  [email protected],  or 919-989-5380.
NEW 4-H AGE REQUIREMENTS!

A new policy has been put in place by North Carolina 4-H regarding age.

All youth who are 8 as of January 1 of the current year will now be considered a Junior and be competitive in all 4-H programs.  So, the Junior Ages for 4-H will now be 8 - 13.

Seniors will remain 14 - 18 and Cloverbuds will now be 5 - 7.

Johnston County will begin to implement this policy as of January 1, 2019.
If you have any questions, please contact me at  [email protected],  or 919-989-5380.
