Virtual Spring Open House

Learn about all Raritan Valley Community College has to offer and how to enroll in Summer Sessions and Fall Semester classes at a Virtual Spring Open House, April 14, at 6 p.m. During the event, participants may apply for free and learn about:
  • Innovative academic programs designed to help students transfer to top colleges & universities
  • Honors College for high achieving students
  • Career training programs designed in partnership with local industry
  • Student clubs & athletics
  • Financial aid options, including scholarships, loans and grants
  • Free tuition for those who qualify for the NJ Community College Opportunity Grant
  • Early college programs for high school juniors and seniors

Summer Classes

Registration is now open for RVCC’s summer classes with sessions beginning May 17, June 7 & July 6. Summer is a great opportunity for college students to earn extra credits and save money and for high school juniors and seniors to jump start their college education.

RVCC is offering Virtual Admissions Information Sessions in April, including special sessions focusing on adult students, pre-college options, and the College’s Beauty programs. Registration is suggested for all Admissions events.

No Tuition Increase for in-County Students

At a time when so many students have experienced personal and financial hardships due to the pandemic, the RVCC Board of Trustees has decided not to raise tuition for Somerset and Hunterdon County students for the Fall 2021 Semester.
Record-Setting Giving Day

The RVCC Foundation had a record-setting Giving Day on March 18, more than doubling its success over last year’s total. Giving Day 2021 raised $51,510 to help the students, programs, and faculty of RVCC.
Perfect Regular Season for Women’s Volleyball

RVCC’s Women’s Volleyball team had a perfect regular season in 2020-2021, finishing with a 9-0 record—without losing a single set. Its success and unblemished record earned the team a trip to the NJCAA D II East District Championship, held April 2 at Lackawanna College.
National Civic Fellow

Nursing student Rachelle-Mae Flores of Green Brook has been nationally recognized as a Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact for her service to the community.
President’s Volunteer Service Award

Several RVCC students have received the President's Volunteer Service Award, a civil honor bestowed by the President of the United States that recognizes volunteers who give hundreds of hours each year helping others.
Exhibition of Student Work

The Arts & Design Department is presenting Part I of the annual RVCC Student Art Exhibition, showcasing artwork in such disciplines as Ceramics, Color Theory, Drawing, Game Art and Game Development, Interior Design, Printmaking and 2D Design.
Focus on RVCC Majors: Business Management & Administration

From working in accounting and finance, to positions in marketing or supply chain management--if you’re interested in a career in business management and administration, RVCC offers a variety of degree and certificate programs to start you on the road to your dream job.
Arts Program Grant

Arts & Design faculty members John Sichel and Anna Keiserman have received a 2021 Local Arts Program Grant from the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission. The grant will be used to fund the MOZAIKA Concert Series, which helps defray the cost of private instructional lessons for RVCC music majors.

Planetarium
Virtual Field Trips

The RVCC Planetarium offers virtual field trips that can be tailored to any grade level. A live Planetarium presenter guides participants through our solar system, the night sky, or to the edge of the Universe. Presentations are $75 per class or group (for 30 participants) and run approximately 45-50 minutes.
